Portugal coach backs Il Fenomeno to bounce back again
Brazil’s 2002 World Cup hero has been given the backing of his former boss, Luis Felipe Scolari, in his battle to regain complete fitness and return to the national team.
The words of support, from the man Ronaldo has always regarded as one of the world’s best coaches, will come as a welcome boost as he continues his recuperation from surgery.
Felipao (Big Phil), as Scolari is affectionately known, says he bet on Ronaldo to return after he suffered a career-threatening knee injury before the 2002 World Cup Finals in Korea and Japan.

Now, the man who is currently in charge of Portugal has told his former charge that he is betting on him to do the same again.
